
The Palace of Culture in Pernik was opened on February 10, 1957, with the first sod being laid on July 15, 1953. The designer of the building is arch. Aleksandar Ivanov Dubovik.
The Palace of Culture was built in a classical style. The facade creates an impression of harmony and completeness. The building is located on a 4250 sq. m. area and stands magnificently in the surrounding park, attracting attention with its beauty and grandeur. This building called the "palace" even today retains its splendor and magnificence.
The Palace of Culture is a natural center of rich and diverse activity, the successor and continuer of significant cultural traditions. Even today, as a leading cultural institute, it actively participates in the spiritual life of Pernik.
